2017 NEWS

ROLEX KENTUCKY CCI**** 2017

CLIPPY DOES IT AGAIN!!

After another successful spring season Clip Clop has gone and placed at Red Hills CIC, Rocking Horse Advanced, Poplar Place CIC*** and finished 22nd with an excellent cross country round at Rolex Kentucky CCI****!  Go Clippy Go!

APRIL AND MAY  2016 WERE BUSY MONTHS COMPETING WITH THE JOE MEYER EVENTING TEAM!

First stop was Ocala International which was a great event for the whole team with everyone gaining qualifiers for the upcoming FEI events.  Brandye Randermann’s Fashion Forward flew around the one star with her typical superstar style!

Lightspeed Equestrian’s Johnny Royale had a brilliant double clear in the CCI* as well and finished 13th out of 90 starters.  Nora Yaner’s South Paw gained his CCI** qualification by finishing 12th in the CCI**.  Our students all did very well and there was no rest follwoing as we all picked up and packed up and headed to Kentucky for ROLEX.

ROLEX KENTUCKY CCI***

Madison Foote’s and Theresa Foote’s Clip Clop really stepped up to the plate at his first 4 star which proved to be quite challenging to even the most experienced horses under the torrential rain and holding footing.  Clippy had some minor but costly mistakes in the dressage to finish on a 60.9, a slow xc round with just one mistake at the beginning left him a bit tired on Sunday.  Yet he really pulled through with a solid completion which is quite an accomplishment for a horse that started his advanced career 8 months before.

Clippy shows some exuberance at the first jog!

Clippy has now earned his vacation and has already gained about 100lbs in the grass field.  No vacation for us though as we were off to Jersey Fresh International with South Paw in the CIC*** and Johnny Royale in the CIC**

JERSEY FRESH INTERNATIONAL

South Paw really stepped up his advanced game by finishing 2nd in a competitive CIC*** section while Johnny Royale had 3 good phases with a billiant xc round in the CIC**.

**

The weekend was a tragic one however with the loss of one of our own Philippa Humphreys.  We are still mourning the loss of this lovely person and mother and were honored to be able to contribute towards her daughter Millie’s education fund.  Her family is in our thoughts every day.

CLIP CLOP FINISHES 2nd at POPLAR PLACE CIC***

Clip had a great final run before Rolex CCI**** next month putting in 3 solid phases and finishing 2nd in the CIC***
