Snip is a superstar at Rolex Kentucky!

Snip had a fantastic run at Rolex Kentucky.  He put in an obedient and relaxed dressage test on Friday.  The tough cross country course took its toll and although the footing was quite holding from all the rain early in the week Snip jumped around handily with a few time faults.  He came through with an excellent showjumping round with just the last pole down to finish in 11th place with huge cheers from the crowd and Joe was thrilled.  At 19yrs young Snip continues to amaze everyone with his soundness, tenacity and of course his fantastic character.  Snip is now getting a well deserved rest and we will keep you updated on his future plans for the rest of the season.

First FEI event in US a success!

Intrepid and Snip competed last weekend in the Ocala International Horse Trials. Intrepid came through with a fantastic result by finishing 3rd in a strong field in the CCI**.  Owner Ann Black is delighted and it seems that Intrepid seems to be thoroughly enjoying his continuing career in America!  Snip won the advanced combined test handily and it was the perfect final prep for Rolex Kentucky.

Keep checking the website often as Joe has a fantastic selection of young and experienced horses for sale in the US. We will be posting them on the for sale page here very soon!

injury before WEG and feels fantastic.

End of the UK season

Joe’s back from Pau, as are Intrepid and Sanskrit who both put in great performances in their final event of the season.

Intrepid was in the ** and did a great dressage test scoring 49.7, his best dressage mark in a ** to date.  A fabulous cross country followed giving the duo no time or jump penalties, but a few unlucky fences in the show jumping meant they moved down to 18th place.  A great way to end the season.

Sanskrit took on the challenge of his first **** following a superb season- the high point being taking second place in the Open Championship at Gatcombe.  Sanskrit put in a great dressage test scoring 56.2 and then did a great cross country round.  Joe decided not to run Sanskrit in the showjumping phase as he’s had a superb season and achieved a lot.  It was a tough decision but Joe decided not to push Sanskrit and the plan is that he will come out on fighting form for 2011 with a **** cross country run under his belt.

The equine team are having a holiday but Joe’s not as he’s just jetted off to America to teach!  We will keep you posted.

At home, the arena has been finished and looks superb.  Joe teaches and schools from his base and now riders can enjoy an even better experience!  If you’d like lessons with Joe, just contact us.
